SPACE USE TERMS
Current Somewhere Haus, LLC. This Space Use Agreement (“Agreement”) sets forth the terms and conditions under which the undersigned individual or entity (“Studio User”) is granted access to and permitted use of the studio space located at 703 Bagley St SE, Unit A, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49506 (“Premises”), owned and operated by Somewhere Haus, LLC (“Somewhere Haus” or “Company”).
By reserving, accessing, or otherwise utilizing the Premises, the Studio User agrees to comply with all terms and conditions outlined herein. This Agreement is binding upon the Studio User and any agents, employees, contractors, guests, or affiliates thereof who access the Premises.
Policies are final and agreed to upon payment. The Studio User assumes all liability for all guests, including themselves.
1. Reservation, Payment, and Access
1.1 All reservations must be made through the Company’s official online booking system.
1.2 Full payment is due at the time of booking. Reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE.
1.3 Studio Users may reschedule a reservation up to one (1) hour prior to the scheduled start time.
1.4 The Studio User will receive a unique access code to the Premises’ lockbox via email approximately twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled booking. Studio Users are responsible for securing this information and shall not share the code with any unauthorized parties.
1.5 Entry into the Premises prior to the reserved time or exit beyond the allotted buffer period may incur additional charges.
1.6 Pricing is subject to change at any time without prior notice.
2. Arrival, Accessibility, Check-In & Check-Out
2.1 Studio Users are NOT permitted to enter the Premises prior to the start of the reserved rental time.
2.2 All setup and cleanup must be completed within the reserved rental period. Studio Users must vacate the Premises by the scheduled end time.
2.3 Because sessions may be booked back-to-back, overstaying the reserved rental time will result in an overage fee of $20.00 for every five (5) minutes past the end time.
2.4 Reminder emails will be sent at 24 hours and 1 hour prior to the rental start time containing check-in instructions, access codes, and cleanup reminders.
2.5 Upon departure, the Studio User must return all furniture and props to their original locations, close all curtains, turn off all lights, and ensure the Premises is clean and secure.
2.6 Excessive messes, as determined at the sole discretion of the Company, will result in an additional $250.00 cleaning charge.
2.7 If the Premises is found to be in disrepair or contains excessive messes or damage upon entry, the Studio User must contact the Company immediately at hello@somewherehaus.com
2.8 All trash must be disposed of in the appropriate container located under the kitchenette and/or in the designated exterior bin.
2.9 The Studio User must ensure the entry door is properly closed and locked upon exit. Failure to do so constitutes a security violation and will result in a minimum fine of $100.00.
3. Permitted Use
3.1 The Premises may be used solely for photography, videography, content creation, or similar lawful and non-disruptive activities.
3.2 The Studio User shall not use or permit the Premises to be used for any unlawful, hazardous, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate purposes.
3.3 Boudoir photography or any activities involving nudity are expressly prohibited due to visibility limitations and lack of privacy safeguards.
3.4 Maximum occupancy of the Premises is fifteen (15) individuals unless otherwise approved in writing by the Company.
3.5 Pets are not permitted unless explicitly approved in writing by the Company in advance of the reservation.
4. Studio Hours and Overtime
4.1 Standard hours of use are from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM Eastern Time, seven (7) days per week.
4.2 Each reservation includes a ten (10) minute post-session buffer period solely for cleanup and reset. This period is NOT to be used for extended photography, filming, or production.
4.3 Overtime usage shall be billed in thirty (30) minute increments at the Company’s standard hourly rate, subject to availability.
5. Condition of Premises and Responsibilities
5.1 Studio User shall maintain the Premises in good order and in the same condition as found upon entry.
5.2 All furniture, props, and equipment must be returned to their original location at the conclusion of the session.
5.3 Studio User must remove all personal items and dispose of waste properly in the designated exterior refuse bin located on the southwest side of the property.
5.4 Cleaning supplies, including vacuum, broom, and mop, are provided and must be used as needed to restore the Premises to a clean and usable condition.
5.5 The use of the following is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
glitter
confetti
adhesives (including but not limited to tape, glue, or mounting putty)
nails
staples
paint
or any similar substances
5.6 A cleaning fee of $250.00 will be automatically charged to the payment method on file if the Premises is not returned to a clean and reset condition, as determined at the sole discretion of the Company.
6. Backdrops and Equipment
6.1 The Premises is equipped with a motorized seamless backdrop system. Studio User shall operate this system ONLY via the provided remote control and shall NOT manually remove, modify, or otherwise alter any part of the backdrop equipment.
6.2 Studio User may step on paper backdrops as needed for content creation; however, shoes must be clean, and care must be taken to avoid tearing, creasing, or soiling the paper.
6.3 If any damage occurs to the paper or backdrop system during the reservation, Studio User must immediately notify the Company. Studio User shall not cut, remove, or attempt to repair the backdrop.
6.4 Any misuse of the backdrop system or associated damage may result in additional charges or future booking restrictions.
7. Amenities and Property Use
7.1 Studio User is permitted to access the on-site coffee and snack station for personal use during the reservation period. Excessive consumption or waste is prohibited.
7.2 Props and items located on the studio shelving or near the coffee station may be used during the reservation but MUST be returned to their original position afterward.
7.3 Studio User shall not operate any facility systems, electrical panels, or internet/tech hardware not expressly made available for guest use.
8. Damage and Indemnification
8.1 Studio User assumes full responsibility and liability for any and all damage to the Premises, equipment, furniture, fixtures, or property that occurs during the reservation period.
8.2 Any damage discovered upon arrival must be documented and reported immediately to the Company to avoid liability.
8.3 Studio User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Somewhere Haus, LLC, its owners, officers, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from the use or misuse of the Premises by the Studio User or their guests, contractors, or representatives.
9. Prohibited Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on the Premises:
Smoking or vaping of any kind
Open flames, including candles
Use of glitter, confetti, or staining substances
Nudity or sexually explicit content
Loud, disruptive, or unlawful activity
Attaching anything to walls or surfaces without written permission
Violation of any of the above may result in immediate termination of access without refund and may prohibit future use of the studio.
10. Termination of Use
The Company reserves the right to revoke access to the Premises at any time, without refund, if the Studio User fails to comply with any of the terms set forth in this Agreement or engages in conduct deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or unlawful by the Company.
11. Acknowledgment and Agreement
By booking and entering the Premises, the Studio User acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms listed in this Space Use Agreement in full.
These Membership Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern participation in the Somewhere Haus Membership Program and supplement the existing Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement (the “Main Agreement”).
By purchasing a membership, you (“Member”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to both this Membership Agreement and the Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement in full.
1. Incorporation of Main Terms
All policies, rules, and obligations outlined in the Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement apply equally to Members and to all bookings made under a membership.
This includes, without limitation, all terms related to:
Reservation and payment policies
Studio access and check-in/out procedures
Cleaning, damages, and prohibited conduct
Permitted use, occupancy limits, and safety requirements
Liability and indemnification
The Space Use Agreement is available here above at somewherehaus.com/terms and is incorporated herein by reference.
2. Membership Overview
The Haus Membership grants Members a set number of monthly studio rental hours at a preferred rate.
Members may select either the Weekday or All-Access plan as described on the Somewhere Haus website.
Membership hours must be booked through the official scheduling system and are subject to studio availability.
3. Minimum Commitment
All memberships require a three (3) month minimum commitment.
After the initial three-month term, memberships automatically renew on a monthly basis and may be canceled at any time with written notice prior to the next billing cycle.
Early cancellation before the end of the three-month commitment period will result in the remaining balance being due immediately.
4. Billing & Payments
Membership fees are billed automatically each month on the date of original sign-up.
All payments are non-refundable once processed.
Members are responsible for maintaining accurate payment information.
Failure to make timely payment may result in suspension or termination of membership access.
5. Studio Hours & Usage
Members receive the number of rental hours per month corresponding to their selected plan.
Unused hours do not roll over and expire at the end of each billing period.
Hours hold no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or gifted.
All sessions must be booked in advance through the studio’s online system and comply with all terms of the Space Use Agreement.
Members must arrive and vacate within their reserved time. Overtime will be billed at the standard hourly rate.
6. Member Benefits
Members receive 10% off any additional studio hours beyond their monthly allotment.
Members earn a $25 credit for each new member they refer who completes a membership sign-up. Referral credits are applied toward future bookings or renewals and have no cash value.
Members may also be featured in the Monthly Member Spotlight, at the discretion of the Company.
7. Rescheduling & Cancellations
Members may reschedule bookings free of charge up to one (1) hour before the scheduled start time, consistent with the Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement.
Cancellations made within one hour of the scheduled time or failure to appear will result in forfeiture of the booked hours.
8. Termination of Membership
Somewhere Haus reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership without refund if a Member violates any provision of this Agreement or the Space Use Agreement, engages in misuse of the space, or demonstrates unsafe or inappropriate conduct.
9. Modifications
Somewhere Haus reserves the right to modify membership pricing, benefits, or policies with 30 days’ notice to active Members.
10. Acceptance
By checking the box labeled “I have read and agree to the Membership Terms & Conditions”, the Member acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to both:
This Membership Terms & Conditions Agreement, and
The Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement, which governs all studio usage.
Both agreements collectively form the binding terms of participation in the Somewhere Haus Membership Program.
HAUS MEMBERSHIP TERMS
These Hour Package Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the purchase and use of Haus Hourly Packages offered by Somewhere Haus, LLC, located at 703 Bagley Ave SE Unit A, Grand Rapids, Michigan 49506 (“Company”).
By purchasing or redeeming a Haus Hour Package (“Package”), the purchaser (“Client”) agrees to the following:
1. Incorporation of Main Terms
All bookings made using a Haus Hour Package are also governed by the Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement, which is incorporated herein by reference and available above at somewherehaus.com/terms.
All studio policies—including rescheduling, cleanliness, damage, permitted use, and liability—apply equally to Package users.
2. Package Overview
A Haus Hourly Package provides a prepaid block of studio rental hours at a preferred rate.
Packages are available in increments such as Haus 10 (10 hours) and Haus 20 (20 hours), or as otherwise listed on the Company’s website.
3. Payment & Redemption
Packages must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
Each hour booked deducts from the remaining balance.
Bookings must be made through the official online scheduling system and are subject to availability.
Packages are non-refundable, non-transferable, and hold no cash value.
4. Expiration
Haus 10 Packages expire six (6) months from the purchase date.
Haus 20 Packages expire twelve (12) months from the purchase date.
Unused hours automatically expire at the end of the applicable period and may not be extended or reinstated.
5. Rescheduling & Cancellations
Clients may reschedule bookings free of charge up to one (1) hour before the scheduled start time in accordance with the Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement.
Cancellations made within one hour of the start time or no-shows result in a deduction of the booked hours.
6. Pricing & Availability
Rates, package sizes, and availability are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Existing purchased packages will retain their original value until expiration.
7. Referral Credits
Clients may earn a $25 studio credit for each new customer they refer who purchases a Haus Hour Package or joins a Somewhere Haus Membership.
Credits apply toward future bookings or package purchases, have no cash value, and are issued at the sole discretion of the Company.
8. Termination & Misuse
The Company reserves the right to revoke package privileges without refund if the Client violates the Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement or engages in misuse, unsafe conduct, or policy violations.
9. Acceptance
By checking the box labeled “I have read and agree to the Membership Terms & Conditions”, the Member acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to both:
This Hourly Package Terms & Conditions Agreement, and
The Somewhere Haus Space Use Agreement, which governs all studio usage.
Both agreements collectively form the binding terms of use of the Haus Hourly Packages.
